Oniya Wasté means to breathe well. We made this salve using organic oils infused with Mato Wahutkan (Bear Root/Osha Root) along with pure essential oils of cedar berry, and rosemary to help relieve congestion in the airways.

Bear Root has long been used as a remedy to promote respiratory health and relieve inflammation. Congestion is resolved when a small amount of this salve is rubbed on the chest and back. Breathe Easy Salve can help alleviate stagnation in the respiratory system while improving immune system response, relaxing tension, and restoring clear breathing.

Contains menthol from peppermint and is not for use on infants.

How long will my order take to ship?

We are a husband-and-wife team running a small family business, so while we don’t have the capacity to fulll orders as quickly as big stores, we take great care in getting them out as quickly as possible.
We typically require 2-4 days for order processing. Your shipping time in transit will depend on the shipping option you select at checkout:

Are your products safe?

How should I store my products?

Balms and oils may soften in warm temperatures, and some natural ingredients may separate or vary in appearance—but rest assured, this won’t affect their quality.

Where do you source your ingredients?

Our ingredients are wild-harvested, ethically sourced, and handcrafted with care. Many of our plant medicines are gathered from the land in accordance with traditional Lakota knowledge, ensuring sustainability and respect for the earth.

We also source organic carrier oils, essential oils, and other ingredients whenever possible to maintain the highest quality in our products. Some of these come directly from our own garden, where we cultivate and care for the plants ourselves.

Every purchase supports our mission to replant and protect these traditional medicines so they will continue to be available for future generations.

Do your herbal remedies contain alcohol?

No, we don’t use alcohol in our herbal remedies. Plants have spirits too.

Here’s something to consider:

Traditional tinctures are often made using alcohol as a carrier to extract the essence of medicinal herbs and roots. While the amount ingested is minimal, we believe alcohol is a substance that negatively affects the spirit of those it comes in contact with— including plant medicines.

Alcohol induces a low-energy state and can create disharmony between the spiritual body and physical body. So why use alcohol to extract something that is negatively altered by it?

Not only does alcohol affect the spirit of the plant, but it can also alter many of its medicinal properties. Out of respect for our medicines, we craft our tinctures with 100% natural vegetable glycerin—an organic compound derived from botanicals. The only additional ingredient we use is Mni, or water, which is a medicine in itself.

Glycerin gently extracts the essence, potency, and spirit of the plants while preserving them naturally—without the harsh effects of alcohol. As a bonus, it has a pleasantly sweet taste, making the experience of taking our tinctures both beneficial, enjoyable, and a safe option for those who avoid alcohol.
